Linkages Between University and Industry

• MIA is currently making efforts to implement the CSAP Report’s recommendations to strengthen the accountancy education sector and capturing opportunities as the hub of accountancy and training.
• Among the proposed recommendations under the CSAP Report are:
  • Encourage cross fertilisation programmes between industries universities
  • Encourage placement programmes for lecturers with industries
  • Encourage professional accountants to teach at IHLs and consider having concept ‘co-lecturers’ for certain subjects such as auditing and advanced accounting
